Frederick Rock School is a combination music lesson facility and after school rock and roll community center. Students learn to play guitar, bass, drums, keys, vocals, DJ, and Record Engineering while interacting with their peers. Students have the opportunity to join a band learning classic, current and writing original songs to perform at a real rock and roll venue.
Frederick Rock School provides a safe after school facility for our students. The students have all access to hang out in the lounge and play air hockey, ping-pong, jam with their peers, do homework in our quiet area with Internet access or grab a bite to eat at the Rock Bar.
We use a creative approach to music instruction. F.R.S. not only provides 1-on-1 private lessons for our students, we also provide the opportunity to learn in a band setting working towards a real live performance in a real rock and roll club. Students are inspired and motivated to practice when they seean exciting reachable goal.
Frederick Rock School’s highly trained and experienced instructors provide a fun learning atmosphere to develop students musicianship and performing skills. Our instructors are real performing musicians and composers.
Hours of Operation:
- Monday through Friday: 3:00 pm to 8:30 pm
- Saturday: 11:00 am to 4:00 pm
Lessons:
Students are expected to arrive on time. We cannot extend lesson times due to being late. Please call the school 24 to 48 hours in advance of lesson if you need to make changes to your scheduled lesson. Missed lessons are not guaranteed to be rescheduled.
Show Rehearsals:
Rehearsals for the shows are very important. These rehearsals are important for you and your band members to perform your best. This is not only a commitment for you, but your band members are counting on you as well. Please arrive promptly for your scheduled rehearsal. Frederick Rock School will not reschedule rehearsal for one absent band member. Students who continually miss rehearsals are subject to removal of the scheduled performance at the discretion of Frederick Rock School. There will be no refund of fees paid.
Frederick Rock School
is open for every student during normal business hours. We encourage the student to come hang out and interact with their peers, jam in the lounge, do their homework, and get a snack at the Rock Bar. Students have VIP access to all that Frederick Rock School provides. Students are required to leave the school at closing time.
